Four-Year Degrees through Brookdale

Posted on Updated on

Many students ask if they can obtain a 4-year degree (a bachelors degree) through Brookdale. The answer is “no”. But, the answer is also “yes”. Here is why:

Brookdale has a partnership with various New Jersey based colleges and universities such as Georgian Court, Rutgers, NJIT, Montclair and NJCU. This partnership is called the Communiversity which provides local access to baccalaureate and graduate degree programs in a variety of majors including: Business, Education, Public Safety, Social Work, Information Technology, Liberal Arts and Nursing. The classes for these degrees are offered at Brookdale’s Wall or Freehold Branch Campus.

Interested? Visit Communiversity’s website for more information or meet with your counselor. Let’s get started!

Feeling stressed?

Posted on Updated on

It’s that time of year again! Time to be full of joy, full of glee and if you are student…full of stress. Besides eating right, sleeping 8 hours a night and exercising regularly…what else can you be doing? How about meditating? Deep breathing exercises calm the body and the mind. This can lead to clearer thinking, better decision making and an overall improved mood. Try this quick meditation in a quiet, private area where you will not be interrupted for about 10 minutes. We bet you feel better!

Parent Orientation

Posted on Updated on

Sending your child to college can be a time of excitiment, as well as, uncertainty. To assist you during this time of transition, Brookdale is offering Parent Orientation sessions. These two hour sessions provide an opportunity to present parents with an overview of the college; introduce the campus resources that are available, including the First Year Experience program; and allow you the opportunity to have any questions answered by a group of Brookdale faculty and administrators.

There are four sessions scheduled, morning and afternoon session on June 21 and August 18. We strongly encourage all parents or guardians to RSVP for one of the four sessions offered by calling 732-224-2717. If questions come up during the summer you may call that number.
